Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is delivered to correct hypoxia. Indications include cardiogenic pulmonary oedema and atelectasis.
CPAP recruits collapsed alveoli and improves gas exchange by:
High flow oxygen therapy delivered through AquaNASE® nasal cannula provides heated and humidified gases at flows up to 80 L/min.
Positive End Expiratory Pressure (PEEP) is used to maintain pressure on the lower airways at the end of the breathing cycle which prevents the alveoli from collapsing during expiration. Clariti PEEP valves are fixed value colour coded valves made from a transparent material which allows monitoring of the patient’s respiratory rate and blockage assessment while a highly fluorescent valve facilitates observation of valve functionality.
A range of CPAP components are available for use with our CPAP face masks, headgear and breathing systems. Components can be assembled to your requirements or purchased separately.
The AquaVENT® Transition System comprises of a HFOT breathing circuit and a CPAP Transition Kit that allows for up to 7-day single patient use. Its ability to transition between therapies prioritises patient well-being and helps you streamline delivery of care.
