Following the global success of the FD140 high flow and CPAP device, ‘Project Alpha’-development of the 2nd generation FD140i commenced in 2018. This project was in the final stages as we entered the global pandemic and approval for sale was granted on 22nd May 2020.

The FD140i will be manufactured at our Coleraine facility bringing immediate employment of 6 and a further 9 positions as anticipated global demand is realised.

Northern Ireland Secretary of State Brandon Lewis visited Armstrong Medical on the 5th June 2020, and officially opened our new manufacturing facilities ‘Project Alpha’ in Coleraine.

This will not only create new, local jobs, but also contribute to the global fight of the Coronavirus pandemic and support healthcare professionals and patients all over the world.
