Inspirational speakers delivered an energising programme to an international audience of healthcare professionals who work in critical care.
Welcoming the guests, Chief Commercial Officer, Andi Regan-Murphy, said:
"I am delighted to offer this learning opportunity to a group of highly specialist healthcare professionals who support patients and families in intensive care settings. The clinical knowledge shared by our guest speakers, along with the practical workshops and peer learning is of excellent value to our guests. We take immense pride in our factory tour where our guests get to meet our production staff and see how our premium respiratory care medical devices and equipment are manufactured. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time out of their busy schedule to be part of our event.”

Clinical presentations included ‘why we use CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) and High Flow Oxygen Therapy (HFOT) for the Critical Care patient’, ‘An introduction to ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)’, ‘The ICU liberation bundle’ and ‘The humanisation of ICU’. Armstrong Medical’s Clinical Education Team hosted a series of training workshops on setting up CPAP, understanding CPAP alarms, the correct way to fit CPAP masks and the benefits of HFOT. Day 2 culminated in a ‘Be Inspired To Be®’ wellbeing workshop, hosted by local inspirational author Belinda O’Neill, which saw the guests using creative techniques to help them deal with the stressful nature of their profession.
Working in partnership with respiratory healthcare professionals is a key focus of Armstrong Medical and customer visits are an integral part of this. The next CPD study event is due to take place in May when there will be a neonatal focus on perinatal involvement and neonatal simulation.
