Reducing ICU Post-Op Admissions Delivery CPAP Therapy in Recovery
Dr Jubil Thomas, demonstrated the ability of HFOT and CPAP using the AquaVENT® FD140i to adequately oxygenate patients both pre and postoperatively, with the potential to improve throughput within the theatres and reduce postoperative ICU admissions.
Pre-Oxygenation: A Solution to Effectively Pre-Oxygenating Patients
We have now taken delivery of our first AquaVENT ® FD140i, prior to this we had no functional device available in our institution which brought the potential risk of perioperative hypoxic injury to our patients.
Seamless Oxygenation Across Theatres
There is now only one system for patient oxygenation across theatres. An easy to use device, supported by comprehensive training and a user-friendly interface makes sure that all staff are confident using it.
CPAP in Coronary Care: Preventing an ICU Admission
We have recently changed our CPAP to Armstrong Medical’s AquaVENT® FD140i as it has the advantage of being able to switch between CPAP and high flow nasal specs, depending on the patient’s condition.
