Circuit Assembly

Insert chamber onto heater plate and turn on the AquaVENT® Heater Humidifier. Don’t spike the bag until setup is complete and therapy has started.

Connect overpressure relief valve and short limb to the AquaVENT® FD140i.

Connect other end of short limb to the left side of chamber.

Connect inspiratory limb to the right side of the chamber. Connect heater cable as shown.

Connect temperature probe cable as shown.

Push temperature probe in and give a quarter twist to secure in place.

Connect end of the temperature probe to the patient end of the circuit. Again, insert and quarter twist to secure in place.

Connect patient end of the circuit to the CPAP add-on kit.

PRESSURE SAFETY TEST – Start CPAP therapy & occlude patient end by a gloved hand or with the red cap. Verify gas flow through patient PEEP valve.

PRESSURE SAFETY TEST – Occlude patient PEEP valve with a gloved hand.

PRESSURE SAFETY TEST – Verify gas flow through overpressure relief valve.

Once gas flow has been verified, remove the red cap and connect breathing circuit to mask.
