Sie erkl\u00e4ren, dass PEEP dazu beitr\u00e4gt, die Lungen in einen nachgiebigeren Teil der Druck-Volumen-Kurve zu verschieben, was bedeutet, dass die Lungen weniger Druck ben\u00f6tigen, um sich auszudehnen, wodurch die Atmung effizienter wird.<\/p><p>Die Lungen entleeren sich nie vollst\u00e4ndig; sie behalten etwas Luft zur\u00fcck, die als funktionelle Restkapazit\u00e4t (FRC) oder intrinsischer PEEP bezeichnet wird.
